Kate Maeder is a California-based political strategist, who has worked in Democratic politics and communication since 2009. She designs and develops multi-channel media strategies to organize communities and win campaigns.

Kate has a deep commitment to electing more women and members of the LGBTQ community. Before joining KMM Strategies, Kate served as the lead strategist and Campaign Manager for the first woman elected Lieutenant Governor in California’s history. She has helped train women to run for office through the Emerge California program and organizes young women to support EMILY’s List.

She was named one of the 40 Under 40 political leaders by the American Association of Political Consultants. She currently serves on the board of Equality California and is the Co-Chair of the Victory Campaign Fund to support LGBTQ candidates around the country.

She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and now lives in San Francisco with her wife and two pups.
