Dan Kully is a communications specialist and award-winning media consultant with over twenty-five years of experience advising high-profile candidate, corporate and issue campaigns in nearly every state and a number of countries around the world. Dan has served as a media consultant on campaigns at every level of politics as a partner in the political consulting firm Kully Maeder Muir from presidential campaigns down to local school bond campaigns.

His clients include Governor Jay Inslee, U.S. Senators Patty Murray, Jon Tester and Maria Cantwell, and numerous Congresswomen and Congressmen including Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA) Marilyn Strickland (WA), Suzan DelBene (WA), Pete Aguilar (CA), and local elected officials including San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. He has also advised numerous ballot measure campaigns, from helping pass crucial transportation, education and infrastructure initiatives, to defeating anti-environment and anti-tax measures. Dan’s work is known for its authenticity. He strives to capture the true voice and values of his clients in order to best strike an emotional chord with voters.

For instance, his breakthrough television ad from 2006 “Creating a Buzz” is widely regarded as one of the most successful in American political history precisely for its creative validation of Jon Tester and his prairie populism. Dan is also founder of TwoDegrees.live, a communications firm working to defeat the climate crisis.

An alum of Senator Bob Kerrey’s 1992 Presidential campaign in New Hampshire, Dan holds a B.A. from Colgate University, a certificate degree in communicating about climate change from Yale University’s College of Public Health, and lives with his wife, Maritza Rivera and their two daughters Elena and Lilianna in Seattle, Washington.
