Anika Steig

Senior Political Strategist

Anika Steig is a political consultant with several years of campaign and nonprofit experience, who has expertise in fundraising and development, both candidate and ballot measure campaigns, communications, strategic planning, program evaluation, stakeholder engagement and community outreach, fieldwork, social media analytics, events, and relationship management. She has a background in public policy, economics, data analysis, and operations management.

Prior to her work in campaign consulting, Anika worked primarily with nonprofit organizations. As a graduate student at the London School of Economics (LSE), Anika analyzed the impact of fiscal decentralization in Southeast Asia for the German Development Institute (DIE); delivered market analysis and recommendations on the social housing sector to ClearlySo, a London impact investing firm; and produced case studies and best practices to Save the Children on their process of scaling up pilot projects into national programs in Africa and Southeast Asia. Anika previously worked in development at the ACLU of Northern California and the American Cancer Society.

Anika holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a B.A. in Politics from the University of San Francisco, where she played Division I soccer and graduated as valedictorian. When she’s not working, you can find Anika cheering for her beloved Liverpool F.C. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, daughter, and their dog.
